Ray has been on a very talkative streak! If you ask him what a kitty cat or a dog say he will make their sounds. He will repeat any word that we say. He has even been using his manners. He use to just do the sign for thank you in ASL but now he says "dant do". He says sorry and then gives a hug and says awwww. Lately that has been b/c he has been pulling hair to see what happens. He says "utO" when he drops things. He gets very excited when the phone rings. He starts talking at high speed and pointing and running to the phone. One of his favorite words so go! After which he promptly puts his head down and runs full force. Rugby, wrestling, football could all be possible options if this behavior keeps up, LOL.
He has adjusted well to the new house. He likes all the new space to run, in and outside. It took him a few days to get use to his room in the middle of the night but now he does fine. It's been nice for him too now that the toys are all on the main floor. Before it was just his toys so sometimes the girls would be downstairs with out him and he doesn't like to be left out.
He defiantly acts like the youngest when he doesn't get his way. His fits are very dramatic. He throws himself on the floor crying and rolling around all while making sure you are watching! If we move away from him during a fit he will pause the crying and relocate to be in better view for you then resume. He is not quite sure what to do when we laugh at how silly he is being.
He is going to be a big boy we think. As he is quite the chunk to pick up. One solid mass. He is into 18 month clothes and fitting some 2T things already. He is not rolly just thick. Though his cheeks are still the very cute chubby baby cheeks.
All and all he is a regular little boy growing like a weed!

The Latest
Latley a few of Rays favorite things:
- While sitting in his chair at the table, pushing away and putting his feet up to kick and make it rock. He smiles and we quickly pull him in. He then looks at us like 'what did you do that for?'.
- Talking on the phone. He is still mostly confused by the sounds coming out of the speaker, but eventually he warms up and says a few words. He really likes to put the phone on his ear and just listen. He snuggles with the phone too to give loves. Then he says "oh" quietly.
- Pushing in the bar stools from the island in the kitchen to the front room and watching them fall.
- Climbing the table has to be number one still. And sitting at the table like a big boy!
- Loves to go talk to an older neighbor of ours and he carries on like an old gossip! It is so cute to she how much he has to say to her.
- Playing with any kind of ball is a great joy for him too. His is really good at throwing the ball. Him and the little boy next door try to pass to each other. Supper cute. The other day the little boy next door saw Ray at the door and said "Hi Wray!".
- Hitting everything to see what sound it makes. He is fasinated by this. I think to him it is not just the fun of hitting it but the music he is making. Whenever there is music he will stop everything and dance. At church he sings and conducts! At night when we rock him for a little he conducts to tell us he wants us to sing.
- Hiding and peaking out! He always comes out with a sneaky face and a sly smile!
- Bumming the front storm door with his bottom to get it to open. That usually ends in tear b/c either we walk him away from the door or he manages to open it and falls on his bottom.
- Outside is his favorite place, next to water. He could be outside all day long. And he for sure knows what we mean when we say outside! He can say it as well. His vocabulary is expanding nicely.
- He likes watching things work, and if he can't make it work he bring it to you with a certain look letting us know he wants help. He says please with sign language and the word "dank" for thanks too.

Some of My Favorite Things
Lately some of Rays favroite things are to:
* Pretend he is blowing his nose. He makes the sound while exhaling exagratedly.
* Says the word yummmyummyumm when he wants food.
* When he is poopy we ask him if he is and he proceds to bend in half point at his diaper and bable. He is starting to say the word too.
*Climb into baskets waiting for some one to drag or carrie him.
*Still loves to say hi, but more and more you can hear the word distictly.
*Covers his mouth, squints his eyes, and laughs like "its that funny"!
*Pretending to read. He insists if someone else has a book he NEEDS one too. Then he will sit and point to the pictures and "dicuss" it with you.
*Loves to run around with a blanket on his head.
* Defenatly has fallin into the "youngest sibling" roll. He screams as loud as he can to get his way to the girls.
*Understands the word outside, and never turns the offer down. He runs straight to the front door.

Mountain Goat
Ray has been quite the mountain goat of late. He is going up and down the stairs all by himself. He is very proud to be doing so. Some times he scoots on his bottom and others he holds the railing in both hands and walks down. He loves having the new freedom to roam more. He tries to climb everything now though; tables, chairs, slides you name it he tries it.
He gets a lot fewer bumps and scraps now as his balance is well developed. But I wont be to surprised at the injuries he gets later as he gets even braver.

For Ray
Welcome to this blog for Ray. I hope that everyone will enjoy seeing all the fun things he does. I also hope that this will serve as a way for all of us to support Ray as he grows. Building these connections now I'm sure will be a need for Ray later. Thank you for joying us on our journey!
